The traditional frame-making crafts of joinery,
carving and gilding have changed little since the 18th century and are still employed today in the Wiggins workshop to make reproductions of antique frames and to restore frames and
furniture.
As in a Georgian workshop, all the skills are
housed under one roof, ensuring that no job is
too difficult – from the most detailed work in
ebony and inlay to the vigorous carving of a
Baroque gallery frame.
